Two views from the east at the Rec extension and from the west end at Normandy Close all from their Application Visuals  (today, one year after completion and 15 years after…)

Proposal: A hybrid planning application for the construction of an Integrated Retirement Community (IRC) of up to 200 extra care units (Use Class C2) with ancillary communal and care facilities and green space consisting of:

a) A full planning application for 24 Close Care Units and 32 Extra Care Units (Use Class C2), the Clubhouse, means of access, landscaping and open space, and all other associated works and infrastructure, and,

b) An outline planning application (all matters reserved except access) for up to 144 extra care units (Use Class C2) with ancillary communal and public open space, landscaping, solar generation and battery storage, and all other associated works and infrastructure.

Parking Enforcement Works in Comberton

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC), in partnership with South Cambridgeshire District (SCDC) and the Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) have resolved to bring Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) to the District of South Cambridgeshire.

CPE, is a system of parking governance that allows the Highway Authority, CCC, the power to carry out parking enforcement using its own agents rather than relying on the Constabulary to provide that function.

In order to be able to carry out this service, surveys have been undertaken of the condition of the regulatory signs and lines on the highway within the District. The signs and lines need to be in an enforceable condition.

CCC Highways Service operators will be working in the area, either maintaining or installing regulatory equipment.

One might expect restricted parking near to the line remarking areas so look for warning signs.

Wildlife Survey – help needed urgently

The Parish Council would like to use your local knowledge to do their wildlife survey around the large field south of Branch Road proposed by Endurance Estates to build a 200 unit retirement ‘village’.

They would be grateful for information regarding any wildlife sightings or records made in the last 2 years, both in the main field, the orchard area, the Recreation Ground and its extension or adjacent fields/properties/roads.
